Capability Statement: The Heart of Yarbun Creations

At Yarbun Creations, our Capability Statement is more than a list of services. It is a promise. A commitment to culture, connection, and community. Rooted in the ancestral knowledge of the Yuwi and Ghungalu peoples, we offer a unique blend of traditional wisdom and modern purpose. Everything we do carries the stories, skills, and spirit of our people.

We are a proud 100% Aboriginal-owned family business. We operate across Mackay, Woorabinda, and Black Down. Our reach is growing — and so is our vision.

Who We Are

Culture is not just what we teach. It is who we are. Yarbun Creations was built on the desire to share deep cultural heritage through workshops, training, and authentic handmade products. Our family has carried healing knowledge through generations. Today, we honour that legacy by offering it to the wider community.

Our connection to Country shapes every product. From emu feather earrings to ochre, from wooden artefacts to medicinal body products — each creation has meaning. Each item tells a story. Our elders taught us the power of natural healing. Now, we are proud to share it with you.

What We Offer

Yarbun Creations delivers cultural awareness workshops, education programs, and traditional product lines. We handcraft boomerangs, coolamons, yam sticks, clap sticks, nulla nullas, and bull roarers using traditional methods. All wood is ethically sourced. All processes are culturally respectful.

We are also innovators. In partnership with Central Queensland University, we are researching traditional Aboriginal medicine. Our dream is to bring the healing power of native botanicals to the world — guided by science, led by culture.

Why Choose Yarbun Creations?

You are not just buying a product. You are supporting a purpose. Every purchase sustains cultural practice. Every workshop strengthens understanding. Every experience deepens connection.
